Zlatan Ibrahimovic plans United reunion

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will link up again with Manchester United when they visit Los Angeles this summer as part of their pre-season tour.

The Swedish striker quit Old Trafford to sign for Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy, scoring twice on his debut last weekend in a dramatic 4-3 victory over local rivals Los Angeles FC.

Zlatan was unable to say a proper goodbye to his former United colleagues, however, with the majority of the squad still travelling back from international duty when he duly packed his bags.

A promotional roll-out in America required him to leave United's Carrington training HQ at short notice, having proved a popular member during his 21-month stint at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will again be based at the UCLA training campus in July, whose facilities impressed boss Jose Mourinho when they visited last year.

United's two-week US tour will kick-off against Mexican side Club America at the Phoenix University Stadium in Arizona on July 19.

The Manchester giants will also play San Jose Earthquakes at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara three days later, with more games set to be announced in due course.

It's understood 36-year-old Ibrahimovic has already been in contact with some of his United pals to say he plans on meeting up with them when they do visit.
