No distractions for Inter boss in top four chase

Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti says his side will only have themselves to blame if they fail to claim a Champions League spot.

The Nerazzurri have been in and around the top four for much of the season but have endured some tough times during the campaign, at one stage failing to win for eight straight games.

Spalletti's side rallied to lose only one of their next seven but their momentum was halted by last Sunday's shock defeat to Torino.

It meant they spurned the opportunity to overtake fourth-place Roma and Saturday sees them head to Bergamo to take on Atalanta.

La Dea themselves still have hopes of a Europa League finish and it is sure to be a fiery encounter at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

With seven games left to play, every point looks set to count and Spalletti has called on his players to take responsibility for the destiny of their season.

"There are increasingly less and less opportunities, which means they are worth more than ever and must be exploited," the coach said at a Press conference.

"We have to pick up a good result [against Atalanta] and give ourselves a chance to get back into the first four before the Rome derby. It depends on us."
