Kane sets Spurs end of season target

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is targeting third spot in the Premier League as he looks to overtake Liverpool in the final few games.

Much has been made of the battle between Kane and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah for the Golden Boot but the England striker is looking at the bigger picture.

Kane's goal in the win over Watford puts him on 27 for the season with Salah on 31 so all is not lost in that race but first the striker wants to get the wins to try and steal third spot.

"Three games left, we win them all hopefully and then we're up to third," Kane told Sky Sports.

"It feels like ages since we last played - eight days. Our form has not been the best and when that happens you want to play. We had to wait."

He added: "We started a bit slow but we won which is what we're happy about."

Next up for Spurs is the trip to bottom of the table West Brom.
