The Red Devils were scheduled to travel down to London on Friday but boss Jose Mourinho decided to bring that forward on Wednesday afternoon, so his squad could settle and prepare better in the capital.
The Portuguese tactician chose a similar option for the semi-final victory last month over Tottenham Hotspur, training in the afternoon at Fulham's Motspur Park complex.
Mourinho knows the game against his former club Chelsea is the last chance United have of picking up any silverware this season and his squad talked tactics at their Carrington HQ at the start of the week.
Top scorer Romelu Lukaku will be closely monitored today and tomorrow before the boss makes a final decision on whether the Belgium international has completely recovered from the ankle injury picked up against Arsenal late last month.
Mourinho has been at pains to keep all of his squad guessing as to who will be selected to start the showpiece, believing it has increased the intensity levels on the training pitch this week.
