Solari plays down transfer rumours

Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari has refused to confirm whether Isco and Keylor Navas will be leaving the club this month.

The Los Blancos duo are out of favour at the Bernabeu and have been heavily linked with a move away as they struggle to force their way into Solari's first team.

However the manager refused to speak too much about the situation and preferred to concentrate on Thursday night's La Liga clash against Villarreal when quizzed by reporters.

"I'm not working on any hypotheses,' he said. "We're all focused on the game tomorrow. All those players are part of the squad, I'm not thinking about any other hypothesis.

"It's not my place to talk about transfer strategies. That's a private matter.

"I think they're all [the squad] pretty happy, ending a year with a [Club World Cup] title has been very important for everyone. They're all very happy, what we're focused on now is starting the year with the humility needed to take on these three competitions we want to try and win."
