Henry on midfielder move

Monaco head coach Thierry Henry has confirmed he is interested in signing Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea but there may be a price hitch.

According to reports the Spanish midfielder has agreed a lucrative two-and-a-half-year deal with Henry's side and will receive a hefty signing-on bonus but Chelsea are said to be holding out for a fee in the region of £10million.

Fabregas comes to the end of his current deal at Stamford Bridge in the summer and Monaco are said to be baulking at paying so much for a player who will be free in the summer.

Henry saw the footage of a tearful Fabregas saying goodbye to Chelsea supporters after the FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and said: "You saw like me, there was a standing ovation, tears.

"Since I left Arsenal we talk every two or three days. It hasn't changed in the last few days. He's a player that interests all clubs."
