Pochettino urges Spurs to go on and make history

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has told his side they must "write history" as their attention now turns to the Champions League final next month.

Tottenham signed off their domestic campaign by drawing 2-2 with Everton, booking a fourth successive top-four finish in the Premier League, on Sunday afternoon.

Christian Eriksen's free-kick earned a point for Spurs after quick-fire Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun goals overturned Eric Dier's early opener for Pochettino's men.

With the biggest game in European club football against Liverpool to come on June 1, Pochettino can sniff the glory, and says all focus is now on the Madrid showdown.

"I think we can make history," he said. "We are creating history because we are making it, but if we can win we will write history and change the perception of this amazing club.

"Of course the club and the fans and we all deserve to be focused on the way and how we can win the final. That is the principle objective, there's not another objective."
