PSG keen to secure Mbappe deal as Real wait in wings

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer Kylian Mbappe a huge pay rise in the hope it will be enough to fight off interest from Real Madrid.

Real have not given up all hope of trying to lure Mbappe to Madrid, and reports are claiming they will pull out all the stops to eventually land their man.

Los Blancos supremo Florentino Perez has earned a reputation for never giving up when he sets his sights on a player, and it looks as though he will use similar tactics again in an attempt to land Mbappe.

The France international fuelled rumours of a potential move away from PSG when saying he was keen to go in search of a new project, but the Parisians managed to keep hold of him throughout the summer and Real brought in other targets.

However a fresh attempt from Real looks to be on cards and they could try to convince Mbappe to run down his contract a little to force PSG into a sale.

It is claimed that Perez did the same with Chelsea duo Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard who both knocked back fresh terms with the club, leaving the Blues with no other option to sell before losing them for nothing.

Mbappe's contract runs until the summer of 2022 and although it is not panic stations for PSG, the clock is certainly ticking.

They are keen to secure his future but will have to convince him over the project that lies ahead and also offer him a bumper pay rise in the process in the hope it will be enough to convince him to stay.
