Using the Mail app is super simple

Full functionality at your fingertips

Write a new email

Simply tap the pencil symbol to begin writing a new email. After entering your message, recipient, and subject, just click ’Send’!

Get rid of old emails

You can clean up your inbox by quickly swiping individual emails to the left. This will delete the email and send it to the Trash, where it can still be recovered.

Refresh your emails

If you want to check your inbox for new emails, all you have to do is drag your finger down the screen. Unread messages will appear in bold font.

Edit your inbox

Want to favorite, delete, or send an email to another folder? Swipe slowly to the left on the individual email and choose what to do from the presented options.

Adjusting your personal data and passwords

It’s easy to adjust your password or even update your personal data in your account by going to ’My Account’. To view or edit the information, as well as update your password recovery options (like a phone number or another email address), you’ll be required to log in again.

Prevent unauthorized access and protect your GMX account

Our iOS Mail app gives you instant access to your emails and allows you to receive notifications for any incoming messages, which is why there’s no option to log out. Nonetheless, it’s still possible to protect your own account and data from unauthorized access with a PIN, Touch ID, Face ID, and of course, the screen lock on your iOS device. You can activate these security options in the ’General settings’ and select how frequently they are requested. Look at our GMX Help for more info on PIN protection.

Consider resetting mobile access in case of theft or loss of device

If your iOS device is unfortunately lost or stolen, you can still reset mobile access so that it’s necessary to enter login data for your GMX account. Log in to your account with a desktop computer or laptop and go to ’Security’ in the ’My Account’ section on the left of the menu. Here, you can access the login info for your GMX Mail app for iOS.
