The Cupertino companyās AI model can now be used in Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese.
Apple Intelligence powers on-device writing tools, image generation and smarter Siri responses.
The update also broadens AirPods Live Translation, which now supports Japanese, Korean, Italian, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
The feature allows AirPods users to hold real-time conversations across languages, making it one of Apple Intelligenceās most practical tools for everyday use.
Beyond languages, iOS 26.1 introduces a handful of smaller refinements, including a new Liquid Glass keypad in the Phone app.
Meanwhile, Apple Music users can swipe directly on the song title to skip tracks.
The Photos app gains a redesigned video scrubber, and Safariās bottom tab bar has been widened for easier navigation.
Apple has also rebranded its Rapid Security Updates system as āBackground Security Improvement,ā a feature that silently delivers fixes and system files outside of major iOS releases.
The company says it will remove these updates temporarily if compatibility issues arise.
iOS 26.1 is available now to developers and public beta testers, with a full release expected later this autumn.
The update comes just days after the launch of iOS 26 and highlights Appleās strategy of pushing regular, incremental improvements to its AI platform as it prepares to compete with Samsung, Google and other rivals in the mobile AI race.
