The vehicle manufacturing company teamed up with Triton Submarines to develop the "sleek and elegant" Neptune submarine.
Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, said: "Project Neptune is defined by its sleek, elegant exterior. We have used forms and proportions that express the same devotion to design, engineering and beauty that shape our cars, such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar project."
Whilst Patrick Lahey, President of Triton Submarines LLC, added: "We have always admired Aston Martin. The marque represents a deeply held passion for technology, engineering and timeless, elegant design. From our first interaction, it was apparent that Triton and Aston Martin were natural partners and our complimentary values will be realised in this truly exciting project."
It is hoped that this project - which is a flagship one for Aston Martin Consulting - will kickstart the development of other "aspects of the luxury world".
Aston Martin's Consulting Managing Director, Bradley Yorke-Biggs, explained: "Project Neptune is a flagship project for Aston Martin Consulting. It is a clear and engaging demonstration of how Aston Martin's expertise in sports car design and craftsmanship can be extended into new aspects of the luxury world."
Aston Martin Consulting was established in March 2016 with the aim of helping companies with the opportunity to draw on Aston Martin's expertise on design, engineering and manufacturing.
Dr Andy Palmer said at the time: "We are often asked to collaborate on projects with other companies. My belief is that we can expand the provision of our expertise and experience even further. The formation of Aston Martin Consulting means that we can offer a more structured approach to these projects."
