A study by airline easyJet has revealed that 45 per cent of people want to experience something new when they head on holiday next.
And when it comes to what they want to do, nearly a third (32 per cent) of people want to head to the Northern lights in Iceland whilst 27 per cent of people are keen to enjoy the Greek sunset in Santorini. And 26 per cent of people want to be able to sail around the Greek islands.
Also at the top of the list, was visiting the Colosseum in Rome (25 per cent) and travelling the fjords of Norway (21 per cent). Eating pizza in Naples (20 per cent) and waffles in Belgium (15 per cent) also appeared on the list.
Johan Lundgren, CEO of easyJet, said: "We know our customers have missed travelling abroad as much as we have missed taking them there. That's why we're delighted to be able to help as many people as possible get away on a well-deserved holiday for the rest of the summer, with great value fares and holiday packages still available for those who want to take a last-minute summer sun getaway this year. And many of the holiday experiences our research has revealed the nation is missing, are based in destinations customers can visit without the need to quarantine on their return."
