Silver Dollar City has been fined $14,000 for a worker’s death.

The Missouri-based theme park faces a whooping penalty by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in regards after a maintenance worker died working there.

The construction worker - whose identity has been kept under wraps - passed away in July from head wounds “sustained during maintenance and testing of a roller coaster,” according to KOLR, a local news outlet.

The park - which is near the town of Branson in the Show-Me State - labelled the victim “a dedicated and passionate member” of its team, according to a statement regarding the incident.

A rep told KY3: “We have worked with OSHA over the past several months to review the employee accident that took place earlier this year, which included discussions regarding our voluntary revisions to safeguarding measures in restricted areas. OSHA has reviewed and accepted these changes, training for which has been implemented with the appropriate personnel.”
