World's first Dragon Ball theme park coming to Saudi Arabia

The world's first 'Dragon Ball' theme park is opening in Saudi Arabia.

The amusement park - which is being created in partnership with show creators Toei Animation - is set to feature rides and attractions split into seven themed zones based on the iconic Japanese anime franchise, with a site set over half a million square metres.

In a statement, Katsuhiro Takagi, President of Toei Animation said: "Our collaboration with Qiddiya marks a key milestone, offering fans a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the epic adventures of Dragon Ball first-hand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"The reveal of the world's only Dragon Ball theme park is a testament to the timeless legacy of the Dragon Ball franchise."

The park will recreate iconic moments and characters from the show, going from the classic series to the recent 'Dragon Ball Super' instalment.

From 'Kame House' to the 'Capsule Corporation', fans will be able to explore landmarks from the franchise and take in over 30 rides and experiences.

Organisers have also teased five groundbreaking attractions which are said to push the limits of ride technology.

One flagship rollercoaster is themed and set on an iconic 70-metre Shenron dragon track.

The theme park is coming to Qiddiya City, which is just 40 minutes away from Riyadh.
