A joint study by Expedia Group and Hotels.com has revealed that people will go out their way to catch their favourite team playing whether its home or abroad and nearly half (47 per cent) also admitted to changing their holiday just to avoid missing their favourite sporting event or match.
Camp Nou, the home stadium of FC Barcelona, was the most favoured sporting destination to travel to, with 11 percent of those surveyed wanting to visit Manchester's Old Trafford to watch a game - the home of Manchester United.
