UFC are now selling Conor McGregor toys which depict him lying on his back

The UFC are now selling Conor McGregor toys which show the Irishman flat on his back.

The 33-year-old fighter suffered the first knockout of his career when he was defeated in the second round by Dustin Poirier in their January bout.

McGregor broke his tibia while attempting to kick his opponent and was unable to continue which led the fight being classed as a technical knockout.

His previous two losses, to Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagamedov both came by submission.

The toy can be purchased on the UFC website website where one particular model of Conor, which retails for $35, shows him lying down on his back.

Meanwhile, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin recently suggested lying flat on his back and shutting his eyes helps his creativity- a top tip he picked up from Conor McGregor's trainer no less.

Speaking to Rob Brydon on his 'Brydon &' podcast, he said: "I don’t sleep very much in the night time.

"I meditate and also I occasionally take a nap.

"I was encouraged on that by kickboxer Conor McGregor’s trainer.

“After we played in Dublin last time, I went to train in a gym and he said the key to life is making yourself lie down for 15 minutes and close your eyes in the afternoon.”

And Chris, 44, insisted his routine fuels his creativity as a songwriter.

He added: "I really like being awake. And I also think that songs tend to be flying around between about midnight and two – I often get inspired.

"If that happens I can’t wait to get back up again.”
