After moving up two weight classes, ’Bud’, 37, emerged victorious over Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, 35, in their bout in Las Vegas on Saturday (09.13.25), but Bradley, 42, doesn’t think Crawford should celebrate just yet and still has to prove he can be great in the super middleweight division.
Speaking in a video posted to his YouTube channel, Bradley said: “What do you call a fight that you know you’re going to win? The spoken truth.”
According to Desert Storm, Crawford needs to fight someome where it would require a “miracle” for him to beat.
Bradley added: “What do you call a fight that you’re unsure you’re going to win? A miracle. Hey Bud, let’s see if we can get in a miracle fight. I don’t know who that guy is. Who is that miracle fight for him?”
Crawford - who beat Canelo by unanimous decision - has become the first male boxer in the modern era to hold undisputed titles across three weight divisions thanks to last week's fight.
Despite the historic achievement, Bud has hinted that his next move could involve dropping down a division.
Speaking after the fight, he said: “I’m going to sit down with my team, and we are going to discuss what is next in the future for Terence Crawford. Who knows? I might go down to 160lbs.”
Bud described the win as “definitely one of the greatest moments of [his] career”.
He said: “It feels great. I’m just sitting back, enjoying my victory.
“It definitely was one of the greatest moments of my career.”
Asked if this was the single greatest achievement of his career, Crawford admitted it was “tough” to decide, pointing out that becoming the undisputed light welterweight champion in 2017 was also deeply significant to him.
He explained: “This moment [beating Canelo] was huge, but something about that first one – this little poor kid from Omaha, Nebraska, set his sights out to be a world champion and had to travel all across the world to become world champion.
“And on one night, all of the dreams came true. Those two moments are definitely special.”
