OnePlus 15 release date ‘revealed’

OnePlus 15 release date ‘revealed’

The launch window for the OnePlus 15 may have just been revealed, with reports suggesting the company’s next flagship will arrive as early as next month.

A teaser shared by OnePlus on Weibo hints at a Chinese release on October 27 before the device has a global unveiling in December 2025 - earlier than expected for the brand’s traditional launch cycle.

The event is tipped to debut the redesigned phone in China first, with international markets - including the US, UK and India - following in late 2025 or early 2026.

The October release date in China is certainly plausible, especially with pre-orders for the OnePlus 15 having gone live already.

Analysts suggest the release schedule is aimed at competing directly with Samsung’s Galaxy S26 range, expected to arrive in January or February.

Alongside its launch timing, rumors continue to swirl around the OnePlus 15’s specifications.

The handset will reportedly feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, promising major performance gains in gaming and AI workloads.

Other leaks claim the phone will sport a 165Hz LTPO AMOLED display with peak brightness rivalling Samsung’s latest flagships, though resolution may be capped at 1.5K.

The iconic alert slider - a mainstay since the first OnePlus device - is said to be replaced by a customisable action button, similar to Apple’s approach with recent iPhones.

Meanwhile, the device is said to include a massive 7,000mAh battery, positioning the OnePlus 15 as one of the longest-lasting flagships on the market.

Pricing remains unconfirmed, but is expected to stay close to the £899/$899 starting point of the OnePlus 13.

With its early debut and ambitious specs, the OnePlus 15 could become one of the most competitive Android launches of the year.
