With the Volvo XC40 on the new 'Care by Volvo' subscription, users can have the chance to drive around the brand new vehicle and change it after just 12 months for a brand new car.
Lex Kerssemakers, President & CEO of Volvo Car USA, said: "This is simple and clear, everything but fuel is basically included in one flat rate. This is the next step toward making life less complicated for customers."
Whilst Håkan Samuelsson, President and CEO, added: "With Care by Volvo, we introduce a new car access for the modern age. In a time where consumers are used to transparent flatfees for all sort of services, the traditional process of buying and owning a car can be perceived rather complicated. Care by Volvo changes all of that."
It comes after Volvo revealed they will only make electric and hybrid cars from 2019.
In a video promoting their plans for electrification, they said: "Volvo Cars is taking a bold step forward, heralding the end of an era for the pure industrial combustion engines in new Volvo cars. From 2019, all internal combustion engines in new Volvo cars will be supplemented with electrical propulsion in the form of mild or plug-in hybrid powertrains ...
"Between 2019 and 2021, Volvo Car Group will launch five pure electric models based on its Scalable Product and smaller Compact Modular Architectures. From 2019, all new Volvo models will come with an electrified line-up."
