The photo sharing app are adding to their already successful Instagram Live video feature by letting users share their live videos with their pals whilst they're broadcasting.
They shared on their blog page: "Starting today, we're introducing a fun way to go live with a friend. Now, you can hang out and go live together, whether you're just doing homework or catching up on your day. Live video helps you share in an authentic way, but sometimes it can be intimidating when you're on your own.
"It's easy to add a guest while you're broadcasting. Simply tap the new icon on the bottom right and tap 'Add' to invite anyone who's currently watching. Once they join, you'll see the screen split into two and your friend pop up right below you.
"You can remove your guest and add someone else at any time, or they can also choose to exit on their own. Share your live video to stories when your broadcast has ended, or choose 'Discard' and your live video will disappear from the app as usual. When someone you follow is going live with a friend, you'll see two circles stacked together in your stories bar. You can tap on it to watch, and like and comment as you follow along."
Back in August, Instagram revealed their plans for the feature and said they were "currently testing it with a small percentage" of their users.
They wrote at the time: "This feature is currently testing with a small percentage of our community and will be rolling out globally over the next few months."
