The footwear and apparel manufacturer have listed a patent for a shoe with a "rotatable conveyor element" to "draw the foot into the space".
They wrote in the patent paperwork: "An article of footwear and methods include an insole, an upper configured to form a space between the upper and the insole configured to admit and secure a foot of a wearer, and a rotatable conveyor element. The rotatable conveyor element is seating in at least one of the insole and the upper. The rotatable conveyor element is configured to rotatably engage a body part of the wearer as the foot enters the space and draw the foot into the space."
Nike have used technology in their past collections and previously unveiled their Tech Fleece fabric, which "responds to your natural motion" to warm or cool your body.
They shared on their website: "Tech Fleece fabric is built for lightweight warmth that responds to your natural motion. Unique spacer mesh is engineered to deliver modern shaping. Ergonomic zones are integrated for extra flexibility. Unique thermal fabrication creates warmth without weight, whilst increasing ventilation."
