Apple rolls out new patch to fix multitasking app bug

Apple has released a patch fixing a multitasking app bug.

The tech giant has launched iOS and iPadOS 13.2.2, which gets rid of a frustrating issue where apps would close in the background much quicker than usual, meaning even just jumping between two programs could cause a Safari window to upload or YouTube to relaunch.

Thankfully, the issue has now been addressed with the update - available now from your settings menu - along with a problem where devices could "temporarily lose mobile signal after a call".

There was another issue "where mobile data may temporarily not be available", which Apple says has also been fixed.

Meanwhile, the company notes the patch clears up a bug causing some replies to S/MIME messages between Exchange accounts to be unreadable, and it "resolves an issue where charging may be interrupted on YubiKey Lightning-powered accessories".
