A study by Sainsbury's Bank Travel Insurance has revealed that three quarters of parents have travel bucket lists for their kids now, with a third (33 per cent) wanting to take their children to Disney World and 24 per cent keen to go on a safari.
Trips to Lapland to visit Father Christmas came in high on the list too, with 23 per cent of parents wanting to give their child that experience.
Diving in the Great Barrier Reef (14 per cent), sailing down the Ganges (9 per cent) and appearing on a TV show (9 per cent) also ranked high in the list.
Karen Hogg, Head of Travel Insurance at Sainsbury's Bank, said: "Holidays, and taking part in a dream experience, are clearly a top priority for UK families. That's why travelling safely and ensuring you've got good quality travel insurance is a key consideration before embarking on a trip of a lifetime."
And parents are truly selfless when it comes to travel, with one in six (16 per cent) of parents wanting to give their children experiences that they never had whilst almost one in five (19 per cent) choose experiences that their children will enjoy more.
