Young people have new expectations about corporate travel

Young people have new expectations about corporate travel.

A third of millennials - who regularly go on business travel - have completely changed how the market operates, a study by Travelport revealed.

The study revealed that younger people are more trusting when it comes to reviews compared to their older counterparts.

It revealed that half of those up to 23-years-old (known as generation Z) whilst a third of millennials check reviews whilst only just over a quarter (26 per cent) of those in the baby boomers category born between between 1946 and 1964 check reviews on a regular basis.

Alistair Rodger, Travelport's group vice-president of agency sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: "Businesses that are thinking ahead can use the opportunity to travel as an incentive to attract the brightest talent, but to retain them they must find a balance between keeping their younger colleagues happy and fulfilling their duty of care responsibilities."
