The Crystal Palace defender's home country Morocco will be staging the tournament between December and January and to mark the sporting event, Tripadvisor and Visit Morocco have unveiled a huge piece of art, created by Peachzz, on Fore Street in Tottenham, north London.
Speaking at the unveiling, Chadi said: "A mural like this will spark curiosity, encourage people to find out more about Morocco, and inspire them to engage with AFCON when it comes around. It feels right for London, a city with such a rich history of creative expression, to be the place where our football and our culture are celebrated together.”
The street artist took inspiration from her "life-changing" travels through Morocco and measures almost 10m high and 9m wide.
Peachzz, whose real name is Megan Russell, said: “I want people to feel a spark of curiosity, to notice the details, to feel the energy of Morocco, and maybe even to be inspired to discover the country for themselves” she said. “I felt like I got to experience the country in a much deeper way. It gave me a new level of inspiration and a more personal connection to the project.”
The artwork is the first in a series of large-scale murals to be unveiled across Europe as part of a Tripadvisor and Moroccan National Tourist Office initiative for ARCON 2025, which is designed to highlight Morocco's heritage and football culture.
