Arsenal close to landing new goalkeeper

Arsenal have reportedly entered talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a £22 million deal for goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move in the last few months, with several European sides understood to be looking to sign him this summer.

Napoli were confident of bringing him to the Serie A but it appears as if Arsenal have edged ahead in the race to land the shot stopper.

Reports in Germany claim that Leno will now replace Petr Cech at the Emirates Stadium next season, with Unai Emery looking to freshen things up in his first year in charge.

Leno has made 304 appearances and kept 100 clean sheets for Leverkusen but he now looks set for a new challenge with the Gunners.
