Rivals enter Thomas Lemar race

Rivals enter Thomas Lemar race

Arsenal will make another move to sign Thomas Lemar in January, but will face strong competition from Barcelona and Liverpool.

The Gunners thought they had wrapped up a deal on deadline day, but the move collapsed at the last minute, and also prevented Alexis Sanchez from heading to Manchester City.

However reports claim that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is determined to land his man and will make a fresh attempt to get him at the Emirates Stadium when the transfer window re-opens in the new year.

Wenger still sees Lemar as the ideal replacement for Sanchez, who is destined to leave Arsenal at some point after refusing to sign a new deal, but will also have to fight off interest from elsewhere if Monaco decide to cash in.

Reports in the press claim that both Barca and Liverpool are also in the hunt and will make offers for Lemar in January.
