The Brazilian-born Italy international is on the shortlist of names Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has to improve his engine room options ahead of next season, but Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool have also held informal talks with the 26-year-old's agent.
Jorginho is scheduled to meet with Napoli directors during the next 48 hours to establish if they will consider a sale and what price they would be tempted at.
Sources close to his camp have stated that United would still find it a tough sell, however, regardless of whether the Old Trafford money men are prepared to meet with any of the Neapolitans' demands.
Jorginho has already spoken publicly of his admiration for Pep Guardiola and the type of football City have exhibited under him this season on their way to running away with the Premier League title.
Liverpool have also stated their case but United's safety-first approach under Mourinho during the last 12 months may now cost them dearly in the race for Jorginho's signature, who allegedly feels his 'regista' style is more suited to a team with less emphasis on physicality and who purposely build out from the back.
